So they'd come in and they- we'd sit at the beach all day and then they'd come back to our campsite for supper. Like they wouldn't come until probly lunch time and then they'd eat their lunch on the beach, and then go back to our place and then have um campfire. And then they'd leave.

Interviewer: Okay so you- so now some people open their present early Christmas-morning. Speaker: Well we do that within our own families. Interviewer: Okay. Speaker: But then with Mom's, it's like with the brothers and sisters and the kids, and we open after supper. Interviewer: Okay so everybody gets to go there after that. Speaker: Yeah. Yeah.

Um I-don't-know just sit around with her I think I just remember sitting around with her, having supper with her, or her fridge squeaks, so she'd say, "Oh it's the mouse behind the fridge." Like it's funny the things that you remember 'cause I was nine when she died, so I-mean I don't remember tons about her, but I do remember those things.

... the United is a hundred and ten. The- each year they ha-- the United-Church celebrated they're hundred-and-ten years in Strawberry-Supper in the end of June and the Anglican-Church on the twenty-fourth of May have an anniversary dinner, a supper and the Anglican-Church has a turkey dinner on Thanksgiving Sunday.

We'd stay here all day. And we'd always go home for supper 'cause if Dad- Dad would be home for supper and you had to get home for that. Kind-of report in and- and ah- and then we'd come back down here at night.

Speaker: And actually there wasn't too much time for you-know- time you get in and had supper it was just about bed-time. Interviewer: So it's- it- you spend a lot of time on your own then.

And ah but other than that by time you get in got cleaned up had a coke (laughs) ah it was supper time. And you'd have time for a game of cards too.

It was like split shift so you would work the morning you'd have a few hours off and the afternoon you'd have to come back for supper. So my mom and dad were really good about running me to work and running me back and um.

I just find families stay closer together than in the city. And we often have like Sunday suppers an-- I don't know if that's something that they do elsewhere or not but we often have um with Moe's side of the family Sunday night we always go to somebody's house for supper and we just take turns.

Yeah I usually see my parents usually every night and um, my mom's- as you-know she's a big family women so we usually have supper once a week or- you-know jut get together and hangout. Usually every weekend.

So I got home from having the blood test and the phone was ringing it was the hospital. "Don't have any supper and get back down here by seven-o'clock." And I said, "That sounds like an operation." And she says, "Yes, you're full of white blood cells."

... a lot of people have retired to the village and ah I don't know a lot of people. I go back for anything you-know any of the church suppers I go back for and ah- and-stuff-like-that but there's a lot of strange faces. Yes.

... I was supposed to stay home- and- and wait for my mother to get home 'cause she was- she was working so- or start supper or-something you-know. Oh gosh yeah. So, I didn't go too far out that time like you-know but that was it.

Well, once because, well 'cau-- I went on there with my mom and my dad and- when I was little so, just to like (inc), (sound), yeah. We had like supper on there and, (sound) I think we went with your mom too.

So it's good to support- and our waterfront is- is pretty nice you-know go down and have supper on the boat there and ah walk along the waterfront.

Speaker: Murder-mystery parties or organize events. Interviewer: W-- W-- W-- What's that? Speaker: Ah, I guess that we could say it's a game where you would have somebody hosting a supper or dinner, have some alcohol involved or some fine food, um, play roles. So it was kind-of like a role-playing-game, but in a day, um, you would find out ah who killed who, the reason why they did and ah the whole night was a guessing game.

I- a-- as a kid I mean it was so different from nowadays like we'd go out in the morning and (laughs) we'd go home for lunch, we'd go home for supper and to sleep. And that was about it, like you-know.

Oh Ian's today they're having a steak barbecue at the Bingo today. ... Yeah I was going to go but my daughter phoned asked me for- for ah supper so ah yeah. ... Yeah. But I mean you get a nice steak supper- ah steak and a baked potato and a bun and coleslaw, ten bucks. You can't beat that.

If he- he had that door closed on the side there and he gets in and he can put everything in and close the door. If he had a small load go up. (inc) suppose to go up. And he went- and I- and I- that supper (inc)- I was going home that night and next morning I found out that he was- they had to went down- Jarred-Mouve went down there and he wasn't feeling too good.

So I picked up my two grand-daughters and my- my daughter had a bunch of bags one day for supper for Sunday- she has a bunch of bags to- all (inc) that you carry on, (inc). (inc) we going to clean that room, that border room there. Clean it up downstairs, it's packed.
