Yeah. There was ducks in there. And all these kids were pulling pranks. You-know, they 'd throw a Oh-Henry-bar in the water and say, "Oh, look it! Somebody crapped in the water!" Right?

Oh my gosh. He took the spoon you-know, he has a regular spoon for himself, and he goes, “Look it, look Brittney um it’s great yummy, yummy, yummy!” Then he picks up her spoon...

...so when he come down the stairs ah we step- stepped right in him you-know, and he wasn't ah too you-know friendly and finally Roy said, "Look it." He said, "Hank Dad's been a friend of yours and a support", he said "for years and years." He said.

And I always work on the premise, "Look it, I'll listen to what you have to say but I'm calling the game. If you want, you can call the game and I'll play the game, okay?"

Would you look at my hands. Look it, I just got through picking out ah slivers. Slivers out of my- my hands ah ah I'm working on my deck at the cottage replacing boards and it's full of slivers so, I don't- I don't wear gloves.

Adam- Adam's-Mine had closed and ah- so basically, ah, peop-- other people came- came to town and they said, "Look it, you-know, no wi--" you-know, they were living Sudbury, North-Bay or Toronto and the wife just said they're not moving to Kirkland-Lake 'cause basically...

So Adam's-Mine had this fund where their employees had to find new things to do, so they basically ah- Pam-Madock had access to this, I don't know if it's a retraining fund or new business fund, so I said, "Look it, I can do other things" because ah, by this time, I've gone to Northern-College taking welding technology for three years before starting Red-Line...

So I, you-know, unfortunately New-Liskeard, I disappointed them because they sent me from- from training so I cut a deal with them, said, "Look it, I know you just trained me to do all this non-destructive testing. I'll come back for, you-know, three months or six months and help you out with that at night on- an- and on weekends."

So they had this educational program for ah, heads and departments to write new curriculum. It was called a transition years was coming out. So they- they said, "Look it, we can't officially give you this but we'll guarantee you that we'll give you as many supply classes as possible" which is also a lower rate than your teaching rate.

I went through a lot of the same things like lots of my clients are going through so I can kind-of help them through it and give them advice and be like, "Look it, I know where you are coming from."

And- well he was in great spirits. He didnt want the guys to go home and I- it was getting after midnight and I said, "Look it. I have to go to work, he has to meet a bunch of the guys at one-o'clock at the legion because-" oh, we had an airplane too, I forgot to tell you that.

And ah- and it made out fine and I thought I'd get awfully tired and Jessica said, "Now look it, when you want to go home, I'll take you home. Don't worry about it. We'll just say, okay, excuse ourselves and go" and ah, Carlota's friends left after they said, "Nana's um- a party poop- Nana's a party person" I stayed 'till ten-thirty.

And he came over one and he said to me, "Look it, I have these water colour paints and is it ever fun to paint."

Yeah, okay. Couple of them were scandalized by- by that and I said, "Look it, I'm- I'm not a dairy farmer, but you guys tell me where you get your milk from for your family tables." And they all laughed and-so-on. Probably just dip into the bulk cooler and take the milk to the house.

Um, the- the logs, yeah. Yeah. Look it- I said those guys, I said that the- they're all hand hewed, like, with an adze.

where people now are saying, "This has to be picture perfect when you get to that stage." So we did, in education and I would say it 's education's fault, we swung a little bit to too much to being loosey-goosey to now we 're coming back and saying, "No, there are proper ways of- of doing things."

No, no, we just ah, living in Toronto ah, people are more uptight there like they talk in a different- they're not as loosey-goosey as we are you-know-what-I-mean. Like ah, we're more easy-going, talking, over there, it's almost like you've got to be a professional- the way you would- just- you can't talk.

Nothing they did was for nothing. Then you could sort-of, like I say, you can always loosen up a bit. Little bit later on. But ah I'd know- beginnings are a really important time to me. But- but they're not a- they're not a slack time. They're not a loosey-goosey time. They're ah not like the last day (laughs).

Mister-Kenyon kind of stands out to me because I find a lot of the English teachers, a lot of the people- well, a lot of the teachers in the arts these days have this very ah loosey-goosey kind-of left-wing view to teaching the subject...
